Buzzsaw

Not one, not two, not three, not four, but 5, count them, 5 hits for the thorn in the Tigers side named Derek Jeter. What a killer. It's kind of his thing. He's good at baseball to begin with and somehow gets better when October gets here. Game one felt like an uphill battle for the Tigers. The 5 run third hurt but we didn't give up and I'm happy to see that we didn't just lay down and die right there. We poked hits here and there and had some homers in there but it just isn't going to cut it against this well oiled post season machine we call the Yankees. Tomorrow is another day. Keep the faith.

Tommy Lasorda was on FOX News this morning. The girl who locked herself in the bathroom, Jocelyn was her name I think...I wonder if she's single. Now *that* is a Boston fan! (Apparently now also a Tiger's fan.) Look into this.

Those Tommy Lasorda commercial's are funny. There was a player once called, "Mr. October". Who was that? I'm jealous of the Tigers who get to spend an extra day in NYC. My Dad and I had a little disagreement about the location of Yankee Stadium, and it was fun to get out his atlas and realize that both Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium are cited in his Reader's Digest World Atlas, but I couldn't find any stadium cited in Detroit.

The original Mr. October is Reggie Jackson.
